"GREAT NEWS"
Dr. Pieter Meyer will be joining HealthWORX Medical Clinic in March 2020 and is now accepting new patient registration and has started scheduling appointments. Dr. Meyer has been practicing General Medicine since 1999 and has worked in Canada for the past 15 years. We are thrilled that he has decided to relocate to Medicine Hat from Cold Lake, AB. If interested in joining Dr. Meyer's practice, please complete the attached registration form and e-mail to info@hworx.ca, fax to 403-504-5799, or drop it off at the clinic.

Healthworx now sends "TEXT" appointment reminders to our patients. If you already have a "cell" number attached to your file, please verify with reception that this is the number you would like the text reminder sent to. If you have a family member or friend's "cell" number listed on your chart, the message may be sent to that number. We are able to move unwanted cell numbers to another area for a contact if required.

EMR Online Portal
The ONLINE PORTAL system is available to our patients, if interested in signing up, please ask if your doctor is involved with this type of scheduling. Patients who register will be able to open their own personal account on our secure website; in return this will allow you, the patient to book, cancel or reschedule your own appointments online
.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SIGNING UP PLEASE INFORM RECEPTION AT YOUR NEXT VISIT OR FEEL FREE TO STOP BY THE OFFICE TO REGISTER. REGISTRATION MUST BE DONE IN PERSON.

No Show Policy
We do acknowledge that sometimes, for unforeseen circumstances, you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, and would like to ask that you please contact the clinic as soon as possible to reschedule or cancel.

Due to the high volume of patients not showing up for their booked appointments the clinic will now be implementing a new fee for missed appointments.

Patients who miss their scheduled standard appointment (10 min slot) will be charged a $40.00 fee and for longer appointments like a full physical appointment (20 min slot) $80. A missed biopsy appointment will be charged $50.00

The impact of a no-show without proper notice is that other patients can't see the doctor during that time.

As you all know, Healthworx Medical Clinic is an extremely busy clinic and sometimes patients need to wait weeks, or even months, to get in to see their primary physician, by reducing the no-show numbers it indirectly means that we would be able to assist more patients, and reduce wait times!

Patients will not be able to book any future appointments in the clinic until they have paid their outstanding fee for their no-show.
